It enables the connection and communication of compatible addressable devices, including smoke detectors, heat detectors, monitor modules, and control modules. The LCM-320 is primarily designed for use with NOTIFIER NFS-3030 and NFS2-3030 fire alarm control panels, making it suitable for larger fire detection and life safety installations.

Featuring a plug-in design, the LCM-320 supports system expansion and organized loop management within compatible fire alarm control panel enclosures. It supports SLC loop wiring distances of up to 12,500 feet (3,810 metres) for Class B (Style 4) wiring using 12 AWG twisted, unshielded cable, subject to the manufacturer's specifications. The module also features a built-in degraded operating mode to help improve system survivability. For installations requiring additional loop capacity, a compatible LEM-320 Loop Expander Module can be fitted to the LCM-320, subject to the approved panel configuration.
