The probe is securely held while the user adjusts the target position in calibrated increments, allowing accurate measurement of Proximitor sensor output using a voltmeter.

For vibration calibration, the system utilizes a motor-driven wobble plate that generates controlled mechanical vibration. A swing-arm assembly, equipped with the same universal probe mount, positions the probe over the wobble plate. By referencing the probe’s scale factor and measuring the output signal, users can accurately simulate vibration levels without requiring an oscilloscope.

The TK-3 system produces a mechanical vibration signal ranging from 50 to 254 μm (2 to 10 mils) peak-to-peak, enabling precise comparison between actual monitor readings and known vibration inputs.
